Which one do you use most often when you check out to put your groceries in? At all the supermarkets near me they always put it in plastic bags unless you ask for paper. But my family collects the bags instead of throwing them...

JoyfulOne I always ask for paper bags if they give me a choice. There is no drop off point for used plastic bags out where I live at, or I would gladly do that. (Our local grocery used to have a bin, but they quit doing it.) We do have a paper recycler at our town...

Corded Phones

Do you still have a corded phone in your home? I find it helps to have one in case of an emergency in the home because if the power goes out then the base station for a cordless phone no longer works.

yasirkhan316 My cousin had an emergency at her house and her kid sister needed an ambulance; they couldn't find the cordless to call and it was a moment of panic. A corded phone in the house is definitely worthwhile for those type of situations.
