vutum6887 I agree with 'freezeover. The choice of camera must be based on ones understanding of his/her needs. But generally for a beginner, a NIKON D80 should be awesome. Buy a lens seperately instead of the kit lens.

vutum6887 If you need a DSLR please opt for NIKON or CANON. Nikon D80 is great. So is CANON 450D.

vutum6887 One of the most stable DSLR has been Nikon D80. You need not worry about upgrading your camera body, unless it malfunctions, be it NIKON or CANON. As for the best...........................every photographer has his or her own favourites and shall brand them...
