If you were to die tomorrow(hopefully not) do you think people would be telling stories about you about how much you helped them or was an impact on their life?
What are some of the great things you have done with your life?...

FloatingGum I think my own kids take me for granted, but I think if I were gone they would realize as time went on just how much I did for them and how much I gave up for them.
I have also been a sort of "step mom" to two kids who haven't had very good female role...

Dying, flying, falling, drowning?
Being trapped, going to the cemetary, being shot?
Clowns, ghosts, devils, snakes, spiders?
Seeing your parents naked, tripping in front of an audience, getting into a plane crash?
What...

I was reading this article and it really brought some points into view that got me to thinking - sharing it here to see how others may see it and what they may think about it. While I do agree that alot of it is true and does "hit...

Peer pressure plays a big role in determining how children and teens acts. Society needs to address that and quit blaming 'parents' for the actions of their children. When do we as a society start holding children accountable? As...

FloatingGum As I said to my own mother when she and her friends get together and complain about "kids today", who raised the people who are raising those kids?
You want someone to blame for this, you better take a look back a generation or two because all of that is...

Now that Yau-man has been voted out, who else deserves to win?
Dreamz talked about turning his life around, his pride, his honor. But come crunch time, he folds and breaks his promise. I guess that's what he wants his children...

I have recently taken on a part time job for extra money. Since I started working there, I have realized there is a tattletale on board! She tattles on everyone if they make the slightest mistake or something that bothers her. She...

FloatingGum I have found that those who "tattle" on other are usually doing it because their work is faulty somehow and the only way they can try to keep themselves in good standing is to "rat out" others, whether it's true or not. I usually just ignore it and do my work...

My son is 5 and in Pre-k, it's a full day in a regular elementary school, from 930-330. And today was a mothers day tea, so I went and there were a few other mothers that also went. One mom brought some cupcakes. She mentioned to...

FloatingGum Honestly, we've always done small-scale when it comes to birthday parties. Personally, I feel it's supposed to be a day for the child to have what they want, not an excuse for adults to get together and party, but many people treat it this way - to each their...

A treasured mylot friend's discussion ( ;-) Gabs ) got me thinking about how we relate to our neighbours.
I'm ashamed to say that I had something of a disagreement with a previous neighbour that resulted in me flinging dog...

FloatingGum I am very lucky that I live in the country now. I have just two neighbors who live close to me, just down the hill. We get on fine. The rest of the homes by me are second homes and the people are only there weekends in the summer, so we have very limited...
