Why are doctors Diagnosing all these kids with ADHD. Does anyone think like i do ? if a child is a little hyper don't you think God made him or her that way

LoriODay Oh, gosh - it is scary the different things you can find on the 'net because most of the articles I have come across since have said that amantadine is MORE effective than stimulants... I wonder what the real deal is...???

LoriODay Thanks :) I just fear for the poor kid when she is older. She is 6 now and her mother is in denial... can't imagine how the kid will look going to school in 7th grade!!!

ok so this whole thing on adhd ... whats the deal with it ?? do we have to put our children on medication ?? i want an alt solution ... I dont want to just drug my child up but everyone is against me on this ... my sons teacher...

LoriODay I would agree with the diet suggestions - whole foods and no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. But, I would not agree with the caffeine suggestion. There is considerable evidence that this is not true and that caffeine is especially bad for ADHD...

LoriODay it sounds like there is something going on with your child which hasn't been discovered. Have you taken him to an occupational therapist? Perhaps he has something that looks like ADHD but isn't... like sensory integration disorder or bi-polar mood disorder....
