agreen Many do measure your success by the size of your wallet. However, I think a person can be successful in many ways. If you are caring and giving to others (such as charity or volunteering) you will be remembered for that and to me that makes you successful.

agreen My husband and I have quit smoking as well. Of course for our health, but a big part of it was the economy. We couldn't afford to smoke anymore. We are struggling financially right now so it would be great to still smoke. It helps calm the nerves.

agreen I used to spank my children and don't anymore. What we do now is take away things that they enjoy. TV, games, toys, etc. Time Out never worked for us.

agreen Our children don't receive an allowance but they do recieve money for things they help out with around the house. They have chores to do and if they do them, they get paid for them. If they don't, they don't get paid. Simple as that.
