What is the difference between a core duo and a core 2 duo processor

I have noticed that in a lot of the newer laptops and desktop computers some of them offer an intel core duo processor while some others offer an intel core 2 duo processor. Can someone tell me the difference between the two ?

aiguy01 I continue at my normal brisk pace. I don't have time to do much decicated exercise so I try to walk pretty fast to get the exercise. Of course I am not rude and won't bump into him or mow him down but life is too short to live it at a crawl.

aiguy01 They also check your drivers license for cough syrup now because the kids are abusing the dextromothoraphan for a cheap high. There are even mixed drink recipes now that include cough syrup as an ingredient for that extra kick.
