Ok, I have wanted to get my kitchen/office set up looking
more professional for some time now. Well, today it happened!
I got my new computer desk setup! Instead of sitting at the
kitchen table I now have a computer desk with...

Do you ever wonder about how certain phrases developed almost to the point of needing to research it so you can think about other things?
My little bit of pondering last night was driven by the fact that it got down to 21...

cathyisgodschild I must admit that you have me stumped on why the conundrum? Here is my current fixation phrase: radical grace". I want to understand it and have started a discussion on that phrase.
Maybe hard freeze means that it will take a while to thaw... Good question....

What was the last book you read that you just couldn't put down? That you either read in one sitting or put it down because you had to but then finished it as soon as you could the next time you grabbed it?
I'm asking because I...

cathyisgodschild Please do not laugh at me. My question is: does the Bible count as a Book on your list? You see once I got past Deuteronomy and started on Judges I could simply not put it down until I got to Job. It was fascinating and rolled along like any of the books you...

I am a teacher and I have found that with Poe students either love him or hate him. There is no in between. I love Poe. His style of writing is captivating and has me in it's grasp the entire time I am reading. I love to teach...

When James and John came to Christ with their mother, asking Him to give them the best place in His kingdom, He did not refeuse their request.
He told them that the place would be given to them if they could do His work, drink...

There are alot of us who proclaim that we are Christians. I am not judging no one but to be a true Christian we have to have Christ Living in us. Galatians 2:20, Romans 8:10-11, Colossians 1:27 and Ephesians 3:17.
The...

cathyisgodschild That was beautiful. My friend and I talk all the time about how we as Christians tend to lean to our own understanding of how God wants us to be.
Proverbs 3:4-6 says: "And so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man. trust in the Lord with all...

While Jesus Christ was on this earth, he said you must be wise as a snake, although it looks like in a negative sense, what you think is right reason for such a remark ??

I am not avid reader at all. I have never read the Bible straight through.. And that bothers me.
I am wondering have you ever read the Bible straight through?
Do you read the Bible daily?

cathyisgodschild I read my Bible all the time because I want to in order to know God better. I also have a Christian blog in which I post Bible studies to help in everyday life. I was saved by grace from addiction and many other things and I believe that if it were not for God...

My mom is a decent cook. She doesn't really enjoy it though. She also has a terrible habit of being overly modest about things. Example:.........."I made this salad but I'm not really sure that it turned out right, so don't worry...

cathyisgodschild I used to watch my great grandmother fry chicken and make gravy. My mom was not a very good cook and so my step-dad did most of the cooking fortunately. I somehow appear to be a fantastic cook or at least that is what everyone has said. I know it can't be too...

I read somewhere that sleeping on your front is hard on...

cathyisgodschild I always go to sleep on my side but usually wake up on my back. That always hurts my back so I do not know why my body is so stupid as to do this but it does. I was trained from a very young age to sleep on my right side because I can remember my mom yelling...

cathyisgodschild How can you give a thoughtful answer without truly reading. Myself I do not think that it would be possible to participate in a discussion without knowing fully what they were talking about. It is the same when you are sitting in the same room as people. If...
