nareshreddy68 without the internet I couldn't work. All our programs at work are internet based. I guess we'd have to work the old way, with paper files, etc. It's funny how important my cell phone has become to me! I honestly don't like leaving home without it.

nareshreddy68 I also recommend that you get all updates for Windows Vista. Use MSCONFIG to turn off most of the silly programs that are preloaded to run at startup. Activate Windows Firewall, Windows Defender. Then get SpyBot Search & Destroy and the Free AVG

nareshreddy68 My kids are around 15 and 16 so they know how to use a computer but they download things and do certain things on them to slow them down freeze them up and get viruses. Such as the one that makes pop ups load every couple seconds.

nareshreddy68 No way to do that. It is pathetic and sad to think your whole life revolves around text messages. Try using your mouth and making words come out if you want to talk to a friend. That would be different.

nareshreddy68 It could be the ram memory, or a defective IDE cable or even the power supply. Usualy the condensators stop filtraiting the power as they get old and start conducting it instead.

nareshreddy68 Whatever your laptop requires in wattage, you need to provide. Amperage has nothing to do with it. If your laptop requires 90 watts and you are using a 75 watt power supply, then the power supply is being overworked and will overheat and will probably damage.
