crayons for your kids to draw with while you are out? My daughter loves to doodle. Usually when we go to restaurants they have crayons and paper for the kiddies. We went to Dennys recently (the weekly outing with Uncle)and they...

I'm sure the sterotypes are still out there but one must wonder how much is too much? or does it make a differance at all?
I was reading about it and I was also thinking this as I have 2 girls & my youngest is a boy. I try to...

Ok, when you are in the bathroom, otherwise known as your reading room, what do you like to read.
I personally find that the articles in the reader's digest are just about the right length for an average visit to the reading...

odosbucket Uncle John's Bathroom Readers! They are a great series of books, short bits on all kinds of subjects, some funny, some serious, all interesting. We have one in each bathroom. Of course I pretty much only get to read in there if I go after my daughter is...

What is the last book you read or the book you are currently reading? Why are/did you reading/read it? School requirements, to pass time, etc? Is it good?

Do you apologize to your children when you make a mistake or do you let things be when you realize you are wrong and hope they'll understand?

I have a daughter that has disabilities the main one being dwarfism. She has had some hard times in her life but I think the hardest is how people treat her from time to time. Kids can be cruel we all know that and she pretty much...

My question to all the parents out there is how did you come up with your childs name?
Did you go through the meanings?
did you make sure that the full name sounded ok and didn't sound funny?
Did you make sure to pick...

odosbucket I love my name, but no one can spell or pronounce it, so when I picked out my daughter's name my only goal was that it was both spellable and pronounceable! I actually had a hard time finding a name I liked. At first I wanted Madeleine but I couldn't find a...

Why do little girls (well, the vest majority of them in my experience) seem to gravitate naturally towards the colour pink? All the little girls I know, when left to choose their own outfit, will end up in at least one pink...

odosbucket my almost-4-year-old LOVES pink and she really came to it on her own. She didn't wear that much pink when she was younger, and still has a variety of colors in her drawers, and her room isn't pink. She also loves purple, but pink has surpassed it. If you have...

My daughter has been trying to cut teeth these last few weeks. She managed to pop 2 molars this past week and she has at least 2 more starting to break through. She does not like teething rings and I hate to give her Tylenol and...

odosbucket Hyland's Teething Tablets worked GREAT when my daughter was teething. It was the only thing that helped, she wouldn't chew on anything frozen. I think we got them at the drugstore. All kids are different of course, but I would recommend the Hyland's for sure!

odosbucket I am a university librarian and for what it's worth, I LOVE older students. Adults who have returned to get a college degree - especially senior citizens - are there for the education, are dedicated, and WANT to be there (unlike the traditional-age students...

odosbucket That is ridiculous. Even my daughter's daycare uses time out - it's not in the corner, but they have to sit in the "red chair" when they misbehave. I sure use it - but then I spank too, so according to the majority of folks now I might as well be an abuser....
