Is it safe to take saffron during pregnancy?

I am 14 weeks pregnant. My mother asked me to take saffron (herb) with milk from now. But, my friend told it should be taken from 5th month. Is it safe to take during pregnancy? Or is there any month from when I should start?

pauie0104 I just delivered my baby 10 days ago and based from my not-so-far experience, everything you take in or put to your skin should be consulted with you OB-Gyne. Better safe than sorry.

pauie0104 Try to write in a way that suits you. Being comfortable in what and how you write can penetrate and relate to people especially those who are not really into the deep literary stuff and just wants some real casual reading.

pauie0104 Sometimes it is just the way they are. There are a lot of factors why people do what they do. I don't intend to defend them but culture and upbringing play a very big role in how they interact with other people. What maybe ok for them, may not be to you.
