I think 11 years old is mature enough to be left alone (12 years is legal in USA) without a baby sitter. A 13 year old can be left alone with younger sibling? What do you think.

I wonder what kind of bed time routine you have for your children? Some parents never put their kids down and don't let them cry at all. Other's I've seen let their kids cry for 30 minutes or more to go to bed.

What time is a reasonable time for kids to go to bed? I have a 7 year old daughter who goes to bed every night at 9PM and gets plenty of sleep since she gets up at 8AM. Friends tell me that this is too late of a bedtime for her...
