Anyone who has had and still has cats comes to the conclusion that cats are indeed the ultimate yoga masters. They can get themselves into the most wacky positions possible, whether sleeping, cleaning themselves, etc. and are...

So I'm in the habit of routinely cleaning out my "darling's" litter pan of his contributions to the world every single day. Then once a week I thoroughly clean out the pan, wash it out and put nice fresh new clean litter in it....

So for the most part your darling feline is an angel, rather aloof, but cats do seem to have their own rules. So say you want to give hugs and cuddles to your cat...your cat has no interest and couldn't be bothered. But then...

Yup...so I've been hearing this rumor that one is supposed to make one's bed everyday. Is that true? I had NO idea about that. I haven't made my bed everyday for ages, except of course when I completely change my sheets, but...

I've been involved with the photographic world for a LONG time. As a child and teen years I used to "borrow" my mother's vintage Kodak Brownie camera. It wasn't until around 1975 however that I got my first 35mm film camera....

As I see it if one is a "hunter", that is, one who genuinely hunts and kills animals for food, then I don't have a problem with that, since many cultures still rely on hunting, especially indigenous cultures. I happen to be part...

I'm sure my cat isn't the only one that does this, but my cat feels as if it's his bound and duty to accompany me when I go to the bathroom. Why do cats do this? Are they afraid we'll get lost on the way?
And not only that, but...

Has anyone noticed this behavior in their cat(s). So your cat does his/her "contribution" to the world in the litter pan, especially number two, then after your cat(s) are done runs around like a lunatic for no reason at all from...

Okay years ago I had belonged to a good number of websites to write articles for, that would have included Associated Content (which changed to Yahoo.Voices) and they paid well. As you can guess though over time those websites...

Okay..I have a question aimed at those who sell and make products, i.e. on a website such as Zazzle, etc. I have a shop over at Zazzle where I incorporate my photography and/or graphic art designs on say t-shirts, cards, coffee...

For the most part your cat(s) may be an "angel". Oh yes, perhaps you have no need for an alarm clock since your cat(s) will wake you up wanting their breakfast. Then the rest of the day and night your cat usually snoozes. or may...

Why do cats feel the need to be up high? Do they like looking down at us mere humans and like our looking up at them as if to "worship" them? Remember cats were once viewed as gods in Ancient Egypt and I don't think they've...

Over at Facebook I do a lot of what is called "crossposting" of the urgent cats needing to be rescued/adopted/fostered and usually from the high-kill shelters. I've come across the lame reasons why people "surrender" their pets...

I haven't come across downright arguments about any opinion one has made here on MyLot….uh, yet. It's a whole other ballgame though over at Facebook, and I'm sure a lot of MyLotters have profiles over there.
One of the key means...

On Saturday, July 23rd I was in for a surprise to say the least. I went out to do my usual errands, things I've done a gazillion times before without a thought. But next thing you know, I was waking up in the hospital. I had an...

I have to confess it's been awhile since I've been here. I remember when I first joined MyLot way back nine years ago, I was not only here everyday, but for LONG stretches of time. It seems now a lot of my time is spent over at...

I never have been a great fan of the hot weather, and the summer seems to bother me a lot more as I get older, wrecking havoc with my RA pain issues for starters. I was reflecting though, just how did our ancestors cope? In the...

I don't often get many messages here on MyLot land, but the few that I have gotten seem to be the same kind of "garbage" one might get in their spam folder of their email addresses, or even over at Facebook-land. You know the...
