Are dishwashers more environmentaly friendly than hand washing?

I read that a full load put in the dishwasher uses less water than hand washing. What about total energy use? What do you think?

Which is the best red wine you have tasted?

I think for me it was a 1988 Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (Opened in 2003). Didn't keep any tasting notes, all I can remember is that I really enjoyed it.
