A middle age man came to apply for a job at 1044pm last night. I replied with the usual you can leave a resume (his reply I didn't bring one but I can leave my number).
So I got him to write doen and brief...

I had such a good time with my friends that spent the night last night. We stayed up WAY too late, talking and catching up. They have been in NY for the last couple months. They just came here for a week or so, now they are headed...

Money is an interesting thing in relationships...
Some people thinks what's mine is mine, what's yours is yours.
Other thinks what's mine is mine, what's yours should also be mine!
Very rarely you meet someone who thinks...

thinkingoutloud Years ago, a "soon to be in-law" came to my wedding. When she arrived in town, she asked me if I would cash a check for her because she had been paid by her employer while she was traveling and hadn't been able to go to the bank to get spending money for the...

I am the admin of a babysitting group on FB. Someone messaged me saying another woman should not be part of the group. She said the woman gets free stuff and re-sells it and she said she's an animal flipper (not sure what that...

thinkingoutloud Being an admin in any community means being fair and impartial. It also means supporting and reinforcing the rules for the group, forum, etc. You aren't responsible to "police" the members of the group for things unrelated to guidelines and Terms of Use....

I am rather annoyed at work now, it's ridiculous. I told the manager I really need hours, the fact the teenagers don't want to work I will take those hours.
This lady has been off work 3 months due to surgery. She over spends...

I was at a restaurant on Thursday and there were two families with children there.
The one family had two little boys that were just angles and the other family had a boy and a girl who were screaming and running around like...

thinkingoutloud There have been some restaurants that have taken a LOT of flack for going adult-only - people post incredibly negative reviews about them online, run them down in the media and more. I think this is truly unfair as these businesses do have the right to...

I have closets filled with clothing that needs to find new homes. As I'm going through everything in preparation to move, I keep finding all these clothes that I will never use again, and clothes from my mother and some from my...

I just returned from my first and only cruise, and I can honestly say that I fall in love with cruising.
I will definitely go for more cruises in the future.
The shore excursions are expensive, though it takes all worries and...

thinkingoutloud I went on my first cruise last year and it was a surprise birthday gift from one of my daughters :) It was an awesome experience - my dream cruise to Alaska that I had been wanting to do since before she was even born and she is in her early 20's now! We had...

Would you get a dog from a pet rescue org? I would, because many times they are well cared for...and they can tell you a bit about the dog in question. Sometimes they are even micro chipped, and often have shots.

I knew she had a talking to the other day, but I didn't know what it was about. I found out today because she was very loudly talking to our supervisor about the problem.
We both started at the same time back in April. We started...

We don't exchange gifts with our families...when we lived close to them it was different. We don't see them now, we don't know what they like or don't like anymore and it's easier this way for all of us.
We do buy for my...

thinkingoutloud I understand your point completely! People have gotten very good, these days, about telling others how to behave and what to do in social situations. What is "allowed" and "not allowed" in terms of wedding gifts, baby gifts, holiday gifts, etc. What people...

A few days ago, I wrote a post about a fella who owed me about $700. I was frustrated because he had more or less gone into hiding. I sent him several emails, and left a few phone messages, all of them appropriate, but...

Should you eat when you are sick? I say, yes, you need to get those nutrients in.
With my recent illness, I went on the BRAT diet. Bananas, rice, applesauce and toast.
And chicken soup is always a cure all! And don't forget...

thinkingoutloud The BRAT diet is a great "reset" for your system after stomach-related illnesses. Ever since my daughters were young, they knew that, if they had been sick, the first "real food" they would get was plain white rice. Got to the point that they would ask me,...

I've noticed this around the virtual world. People doing things to try to drive others crazy. Messing with people's heads and telling them it's a man when it's a woman. Pretending to be friends with people. People minding other...

thinkingoutloud I think it's an unfortunate truth, in this type of community, that some folks simply won't take the time to compose new discussions. It's easier (and quicker!) to swoop through and comment on other people's thoughts. Granted, it takes more effort to come up...
