Before giving food of drink to your child... do you taste the food first... or do you just feed it to them when you are sure that it is no longer hot or very cold...
Do you tasted test for your kids?...
I often do......

Gingermegs I used to test some things, but lets face it, bought baby food is horrible and even I would not test that. Tasting for temperature is very natural and necessary and also testing for sugar or salt content. Sometimes my children would get very upset if I had any...

Smoking is a really expensive habit
When I first started smoking I was only 16 years old, that was in the days when you could get away with smoking underage because they didn't enforce it, and kids were allowed to go to the...

Gingermegs This is very normal behaviour, all kids do it. Your son is marking his territory so to speak. Maybe the solution would be to give your son one toy when other cildren are around and give the other child one toy and make it understood in no uncertain terms that...

Some kids really have a nerve to talk back to their parents.
It drives me nuts to hear and see them doing this to their parents. Some parents also would just ignore them. They don't do anything about it.
If it happens to me,...

Gingermegs That happens to me too. There is always somethin to take away the money you save for something you want for yourself. I don't know whether it just means that I wasn't meant to have what I want or not but it is very frustrating and I begrudge having to give up...

Gingermegs Thanks for the joke, it put a smile on my face. I am a mother of five and although I don't think I have ever said anything quite like that, I do think there have been times that I have embarrassed my children in front of their friends. Oh well, that's what...

Gingermegs I get along well with all of our neighbours. We are the only renters in our small area and I think they are just glad that we don't make a lot of noise and keep the yard a lot better than any of the previous renters. They all have nice yards and are nice...
