A few months ago I tried another mile race, with shoes on. I ran an 8:10. Tried a 2 mile race, ran a 16:20. Then about a month ago, I ran another 2 mile race, and somehow pulled off a 15:40! I couldn't believe it myself. I've only...

I've always thought I was a much slower runner when barefoot, but tonight I realized that is all in my head. I am definitely more careful because of the obvious factor of not wanting to step on something that will hurt me. But I...

Well, after resting my foot for a few days it wasn't quite back to normal, but with some wrapping I was able to race on it. I started out the race slowly, but after mile 2 I didn't notice the pain of my foot. But I couldn't take...

So I finally found a street mile to race, and when I was about to sign up I noticed I could sign up for the open category or barefoot. Either way I'm sure I have no chance of being in the top 3 (unless only 3 people go barefoot),...

So far, I've done several 5Ks, a 10K, a half marathon, and a marathon. I think my favorite distance out of all these was the 10K. My least favorite was definitely the marathon.
I think the next new distance for me that I'll...

I didn't run a flat 26 minute 5K like I wanted to, but considering the cold, I think coming in a little over 30 seconds over that is pretty good. Especially since that's still a PR by over a minute.
Now I'll have to run another...

So now I've got a horrible cold, and on Saturday I'm running a 5K. I tried running today and only went 2 miles, at 10K pace and it was still pretty hard but I wasn't really trying to go any faster than that. I just wanted to see...

So today I did 2 barefoot miles on another track. I was totally grossed out because there was some dog poop on the track, but I managed to avoid it and my feet are nice and clean and happy.
My feet don't get that tingly feeling...

Well, I managed to somehow finish the marathon yesterday!
I woke up in the middle of the night with a fever, still had a fever in the morning. Then it went away before the start of the race, but I was wrapped in a blanket at...

Well, it didn't even seem long really... just a nice easy 8 miler.
Now I just have a few short runs left (including a 5K with my mom this weekend). I can't believe it's almost time to run the marathon! I have to admit, I'm a...

The final long training run has been completed today! And I am beat! It was cloudy for an hour, then raining for quite awhile, and then stopped raining occasionally, and ended not raining. Then I got in my car to leave and it was...

Please, if you must rehome your rabbit either find it a home yourself or take it to an animal shelter. Dumping your rabbit in the park does not help your rabbit. It will be easily eaten by predators, die of the cold or of heat...

Well, I wasn't intending to go over 20 miles, but with trying to find a restroom I ended up doing a few extra miles. I was planning to do 18, maybe 19. Did almost 21.
Part of it was hiked instead of ran though, because our...

Usually, I'm not the type of person to take any walk breaks. I just kind of run slow and steady. Occasionally I will stop to drink water or something (not during a race, but my fuel belt is impossible to drink from without...
