robwitham My last few hikes have been integrated with an assignment my wife has for an ornithology class she is taking. She has to log 50 hours of field observation birding. We have been hiking local nature preserves here in upstate NY while looking for birds.

robwitham I have been on several tourist-type train rides as well as city/commuter trains a few times. I would love to travel by train cross country but the trains do not go where I usually travel... Maybe someday!

robwitham From what you describe you are probably well justified putting him out. If you choose to let him stay at all you should probably set specific guidelines of what you will allow in YOUR house. He can abide by your wishes or stay somewhere else.

robwitham I have been close to a few but have never actually seen a bear while hiking. I've seen evidence a few times that they had just passed by. Just knowing you are in the same proximity is enough to make you very awake! That definetely creates an adrenaline dump!

White Birch Tree in Southwestern Vermont

robwitham This does sound like a theft of service and trespass issue. The appropriate police department should have an opinion as should the appropriate municipal board that approved the builder for the project. I would not let that situation go without addressing it!
