trruk1 I'm doing well. Typing is still a bit troublesome because the fingers on my left hand sometimes forget what to do, but that's a small problem. Thank you for your concern.

trruk1 A clot formed and moved into my brain and lodged there. My blood pressure was sky-high (I didn't know; I've never had a problem before but I hadn't checked blood pressure in a very long time). I now take meds to control BP, and it is fine.

trruk1 It is called TPA. It should be given within an hour after the stroke, and they insist it be no more than three hours later. I was in the ER 20 minutes after the stroke. It worked better than anybody expected.
