How do you motivate people?

My problem is, I am a supervisor and have one employee that has no motivation at all. We are in a electronic/technical field. I have tried everything I can think of so I am turning to you, the people of Mylot for any suggestions.

Did any one catch Studio 60 on t.v. tonight? Has the program been renewed? I sure hope so. I had not seen it before and it is from 2007. Can't wait to find out if it's back. Anyone heard anything?

Has any one heard that google is planning on adding a spy eye? It will be by the ads they have on google and it will scan your eyes letting them know anytime someone reads one of their ads. I can't believe the invasion of privacy...

My problem is that anytime I am on the internet and close out any window, any window at all, it closes all of my windows and kicks me off the internet. It started doing it every once in a while and now it happens every time....

There is one person where I work that makes my life miserable. He demeans me ever chance he gets. Talks down to me all the time. Anything he can think of to irritate me, he does. Our manager has talked to him and it gets better...
