TrashQueen I love growing corn, but unfortunately, ants usually attack my corn & my bananas before I can get to them.

Here's a shot of my strawberry patch. Well, what can be seen right now anyhow. With the warm weather and the sunny area they sit in they have started to pop up and I see many new shoots. I have to thin the patch out this year as...

TrashQueen I envy your space for a strawberry patch. Mine are in pots & since I'm in the far south, I already have 5 or 6 berries on the plants. About 40 miles south of me they have been picking the fields for a month or so..
I dearly love strawberries & can never...

I saw this article and I had to chuckle! http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/15/science/earth/15bees.html I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Maybe have some basic restrictions so people would not be stung or put in the harms...

TrashQueen I hate cold weather... which is why I live i the south, but this year has been horrible. Cold, cold, cold. Today was in the 50*s when I got up. This far south shouldn't be that cold for so long. A day or two per winter? Yeah, ok. But not for weeks on end....

It was so funny that the CGIS "boss" was just a female Gibbs. She was like him in every way from the stoic attitude, the head slap, the being an only child from a small mid-western town, to many other things. Are they too much a...
