We went to the big Tesco again today. My Mum didn't know if she'd be up for coming but in the end she did and she sat on a bench again while he went round the shop.
I got rid of the soft recycle and then we went up on the lift....

Good morning, friends.
Although the sun is shining, the news brought me bad, although late, news.

Isn’t English weird? The past of teach is taught, but the past of preach is preached, but not praught, as you might think it ought to be.
And I just came across another linguistic oddity. The white powder descended from the sky...

The present generation will never know what this is all about and the older generation would have wished such settings goodbye.
To think that in the good old days some households had these kind of settings. Having a 12 course...

Last Tuesday at the movies we watched Grumpy Old Men which was hilarious. I haven’t seen it before.
We were all really intrigued with the fishing huts set up on (I guess) a frozen lake. They were like little man-caves and...

He lives in San Fernando, a small city about 3 hours from Santiago. Years ago, before the pandemia, I went to visit for weekends. My aunt was alive then and we had lots of fun.
First she died and then the pandemia struck. I...

The atmosphere in my kitchen this morning is one of warmth, comfort and security. And nostalgia. A pot of apples is stewing away happily, cooking apples infused with cloves, cinnamon, ginger, lemon juice and a splash of brandy....

Well, we got the camper in a couple of weekends ago to get the toilet valve replaced, add some bolts to a loose stabilizer, air up the tires, and have it winterized. And now it's time to pick it up and bring it home.
Well, at...

I of course made them go away and I'm...
