Does anybody else watch this fantasy, children's game show, which is shown on CBBC in the afternoon, and on Sunday mornings? I'm hooked on this pagan-style show, starring James Mackenzie, as Raven. He has black...

Leedsrbest1973 Oh, Mummmmm! What are you like? He he. My girls like watching that - it's a kids programme. I suppose that's ok if you like it, because I watch it with the girls. It's a good programme and I think they should have more of that type of programme for the young...

It didn't for me, but it did for a lot of people in the UK, at around one o'clock on Wednesday morning, when the biggest earthquake since 1984, its epicentre near Market Rasen, in Lincolnshire, radiated throughout a large part of...

Leedsrbest1973 Like you I didn't feel a thing. I didn't know anything about it until half way through the next day. It looked pretty bad in Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire, but it must have missed us, I think. Thank goodness. I would have thought it was my neighbour playing...

Soon, I shall be going to bake a pie for my dinner. I have some Steak and Kidney in the fridge and have just put that on to cook with some onion, before making a short crust pastry and baking my pie.
I haven't seen Steak and...

Leedsrbest1973 I like Chicken and Leek pies but your Steak and Kidney puddings used to be good. I miss those. I only get them if we buy the ready made ones in the shop and they're not the same. Yours were much tastier.
I've just remembered a time when Tim and I were...

I seem to be on a kids' trail today. I don't know why, but perhaps the distressing events of late.
Anyway, this time, my mind goes back to when I childminded a little girl named Niamh (pronounced Neeve), from seven months old, to...

Leedsrbest1973 Um, I seem to have seen this story before somewhere. Do I need glasses or do you need a French lesson? lol. What an amusing little girl Niamh is. I only saw her once and she seemed quite the little grown up. I bet you had some good times minding that one. I...

Have you ever felt really emotional at the achievements of not only your own children and grandchildren, but others, as well? Last night, I couldn't hold back my emotions.
I had just sat through two hours or so, of Alice in...

Leedsrbest1973 That was the second of the school pantomimes that I've seen and they were both very good but Alice was slightly better. I thought the girl who played Alice was a great actress and very natural. Of course Lauren was one of he best dancers there. I have to say...

Leedsrbest1973 Ha Ha Ha. I like that. Bun George indeed. I met little Niamh once in the pub didn't I? Little blond haired girl. She's cute and very alert. I think she was about two or three when I saw her. I expect she's at school now.
Trust you not to know what she was...

Yes, we all know the saying, don't we? It's a standing joke with the men, and when I came across this picture, I had to smile, as I thought of the antics my grandson used to get up to.
This is the type of thing he would do......

Leedsrbest1973 It's a standing joke with men because you women are always saying it. That's probably why Daniel took the mickey, but he was funny at times. This brings back fond memories of my son. Remember when he used to do the Izzy Wizzy Let's Get Bizzy routine? You used...

Boy... I just realised, there's only ten days to go....

I'm sorry to say, I received some rather disturbing news tonight, about my friend and her loss. I'm sorry that I'm unable to break a confidence here, but I will update you as to the general state of her health, as I know many of...

Leedsrbest1973 This is very sad. I know what it's like to lose a child and would not wish it on anybody, especially your friends. I know how excited you were about making their gift because it was their first baby. I wish I could say something to help, because I know how...

Traditionally, the egg is a symbol of new beginnings, and Ostara/Easter is a time for new beginnings and new growth, so it has become customary to give chocolate eggs at this time.
This got me to thinking about my favourite...

Leedsrbest1973 I prefer milk chocolate, either with caramel or nuts in, so a Snickers Egg or a Caramel Egg would be my ideal one. You can get the small Caramel ones, as well as Rolo, Smarties and Cadbury's Cream Eggs. Of these small ones I like Caramel and Rolo ones best....

You know the saying, I'm sure, but just in case, somebody who 'rains on your parade', is somebody whom when you're elated, and happy, always has to spoil things for you, and bring you down to earth with a bump.
So... do you...

Leedsrbest1973 A lot of people have tried, but I've got a huge umbrella as well as coats with hoods, so there's no way, they will ruin my fun!

I think Computeritis could well be classified as a disease... I certainly would be diagnosed!
I spend hours on the Internet, many of those in either Mylot or Pogo. I get up in the morning and switch on my computer, opening my...

Leedsrbest1973 I'm sure I would if I could, but it's almost impossible with my daughters, (your granddaughters) hogging it for homework, games and chats with their friends.
No, I'm joking. I do spend quite a lot of time on the computer, and if you ask me, the girls are...
