I don't often have the time to come here, but when I do I seem to push a lot of buttons!
It keeps me entertained for, oh, at least five minutes.
In the 'good old days' we called it 'winding' someone up.
When they took the bait...

Well, what an interesting and mixed shed load of comments I received from my last two posts.
Seems most people here agree MyLot posts are generally relatively inane twaddle, which is exactly what makes them endearing.
Most here...

It seems that many people don't think MyLot is too restrictive, but hint the issue of the low-quality dialogue, between members, is caused by the members themselves responding in greater numbers to basic and mundane than any post...

To be honest, I find most the conversations and posts on here are inane drivel, people posting irrelevant and irreverent comments or questions in an attempt to get some response simply to earn a few dollars.
I seek interesting...

Call me ignorant, but what is this Thanksgiving all about?
Also, if you eat turkey now, what do you eat for Christmas dinner?
Just wondering.

Just back from Belgium.
It was a pretty country, (mostly), but way, way overpriced for poor quality food. The people are full of an arrogant attitude which spoiled it further.
I think they dislike anyone who is not Flemish.
So...

I am so busy I don't find much time to spend here, although I enjoy the conversations and banter when I can be here.
Do you think I should stay and post when I can, or would you suggest I leave altogether?
Are you happy with me...

Seems that some folk have a 'thing' with some of the stuff I post, saying they are not conversations.
Nope, they are not... they are conversation openers.
Everything has to start somewhere and in the words of that great...

I don't have the time, at present, to be as active here as I would like & I don't check in as often as I should.
So, to find a payment from My Lot today, never realising one was due, was a nice surprise.
Happy daze :-)

Are the days getting shorter?
I don't just mean the sunlight hours, but the whole day, have those 24 hrs shrunk over the years?
I am asking because, I could get so much done in a single day a few years ago and before that, when...

Why do I get a load of responses to a simple statement, but very few for a post of substance?
Anyone have an answer to that?

Tomorrow, (Saturday) is my first public reading of one of my short stories.

Is there really something in the genetic make-up of the female which make them talk almost non-stop....consistantly?
I am asking because, I took my 5 year old grandaughter on a short walk today. Not once did she quit talking,...

Do you ever have one of those days where your feet don't touch the ground?
The type of day when time dissapears into some sort of black hole?
Well, that's been my day so far...it's almost over and I have not stopped working, but...

I am to travel to Texas later this year, Fort Worth & Austin. I have been told that many things really are bigger in that state, is it true, or is it just tourist/marketing hype?
(The re-articulation of this question is...

A little sketch to say goodbye.
isn't it sad how all those we grew up listening to on the radio are fading away.

I do not know about you, but I am a member of many social media groups.
Some are niche/specialist/private/secrete groups, such as ex-military organisations, or those involved in a technical field.
But the majority are general,...

Well, Spring Time is almost upon us and that brings to mind two posts I made a couple of years back.
Both go under the title of 'I like', the first was 'I like - Summer mornings' the second 'I like - Autumn days'. (Neither of...

Does anyone here read short stories, the flash fiction type?
I was wondering if it would be worth posting some?
What do you say...good idea or a waste of time?
