I'll start a conversation with anyone. Yesterday I had a half an hour chat with a stranger about a yellow wagtail bird. I do this on a regular basis. Talk to strangers, start up conversations. I'm always polite and respectful. But...

I never have personally. But my mum was arrested for assaulting a police officer. She informed me that in 1979 a man pinched her butt and she turned around and punched him in his face. She didn't realise until afterwards that he...

I'm in what my wife calls one of my "famous moods."
The day started off fairly reasonably but it's quickly descended into a rager. I'm in a ferocious mood for 3 reasons.
What was the last thing/ person/ event that put you in a...

Let me start by saying I am not against any form of religion. If that's what you chose then good for you. Be the best Christian, Muslim, Sikh or whatever you can be. Lean into it and make it count.
I have no beef with you. So...

If you can't laugh at yourself, then everyone will laugh at you even more. I think being able to take a joke about yourself is like a survival mechanism for the brain.
It shows you don't take yourself too seriously.
But there's...

I have been called "direct." I know what it means, I know it's not a compliment. But quite frankly I don't care. I won't stand for any nonsense. And that's not a criminal offense.
Are you "direct" in the way you speak? Does it go...

Don't worry it's not a rant about the mother-in-law. There was never a rant about her. She was a really nice, decent person. People had treated her so horrendously in life, she went through hell. But she never let it make her...

As someone who moved from the south of England to the north, I often get asked where I'm from. Northerners seem to be a bit obsessed with where people are from if they don't sound the same as them. I don't know, maybe it's a city...

I'm not a fan, I'm not saying they don't work. And I'm not disrespecting anyone that uses them, I've just never found a so-called "home remedy" that really works for me. I am definitely more of a medicine kind of person.
Do you...

My wife and I were having a discussion recently, I said that racism is racism no matter what. She disagreed and said some racism was worse than others.
What do you think? Is some racism worse than others? And if so what makes it...

I've developed an allergy to my dog and cat. It happened after an operation I had to have and apparently after such an operation it's quite common.
I take allergy pills and an inhaler and that suits me fine. We brush and bathe...

I have to admit that I always assume the worst of people. I try not to, I really do but I think it's part of who I am.
Experiences shape us and mine have shaped me into a chunky little cynic. I wish I could have more faith in...

The only one thing I'm naturally good at is telling when people are lying. I've had it tested and I'm 80% accurate at detecting deception. Most people are 47%.
And it might sound great, but it's not. It's like the worst natural...

People are great at saying what they hate about themselves. But I have always found most people are terrible at saying things they actually like about themselves.
Do you have something you admire about yourself? It can be a...

I'm from the UK, so people think we're one of two things: Tea sipping Downton Abbey types or rhyming slang chimney sweeps ready to burst into song at a moments notice.
There's really no middle ground that I've seen. So what...

Everyone always says "it gets worse when you get older." And I realise now that is true. In fact my mum used to say it so much I thought she should put it in Latin on a family coat of arms or something. But does ANYTHING get...

We all know someone like this. Whatever you've done, they've done it too, only MUCH bigger, better and probably more expensive too. As my cousin says "You've been to Tenerife, they've been to Elevenrife"
Someone like this is...
