Complete and utter devastation are the only words I can think of to describe the aftermath of hurricane Helene here in western NC, where I live. I can't imagine what it like in Florida where it made landfall.
Our weather last...

The judge in Trump's current criminal trial has a difficult decision to make. Trump is not supposed to berate or threaten court staff, potential witnesses, or jurors. But he continues to do so.
He has been fined a few thousand...

A rhyme!
This was an unplanned casserole, I was planning on making mini-meatloaf bacon wraps but I forgot a very important ingredient at the store - pork panko. I don’t know if my mind goes blank or...

Hello everyone. I hope your day is going well. It is 47 degrees F and drizzling here at the Jersey Shore. Yuck.
I’m done with work for the day and am now at the sheltered English instruction training. I’ll be here until 5....

So, it is warm here 81 degrees and the reporters that are in NYC covering the Trump trial have heavy coats and some are even wearing gloves. I think they probably have rain or heavy cloud cover there which makes a difference. It...

The baby is so beautiful!
I'm not sure who the mother is, as I'm a bit of a trollop, but I love babies.
Wait. I'm lying again.
But I did have a sonogram this morning. I reckon it's a screening for problems with a big artery...

Morley Hunt Ultra sounds (sonograms) are really not usually painful.
We need to be at our “local” (45 minutes away) hospital at 7:15 AM on Thursday for my husband to have two scans of his liver and abdomen.
He’s not permitted breakfast before so we plan a breakfast date...

I'm glad I went on a little property walk this morning. The unruly grass was wet but it was fairly warm and settled out. I spotted more strawberry blooms though its early for them to bloom. The grape start has leaf buds on it....

I was awakened again last night by a dining creature that did not sound like Kitty. I chased the raccoon off. It returned, and I chased it off again.
The night before, when I chased the raccoon off, I saw Kitty watching the whole...

Last night I had another dream. This dream was about painting. I had painted some pictures and they were put up in a hall where they were available to buy.
I went to have a look. The paintings were all over the walls, but...

Dear friends,
The extended family gathering yesterday was good mostly. Courtney's great aunt cooked brunch/late breakfast for all of us.
I say "all of us", but it wasn't as large a gathering as we're used to. Nonetheless, I'm...

If we're going literal, it's the wee hours of the morning. I have a feeling George might go to bed before three Am. I can't be sure. However, it's time the macbook got a breather. I've been on and off of it all day plugging away.
