Spoke with a nurse yesterday when I was trying to get a hold of my husband. She said he was acting mean so they are giving him a test for a UTI. The meanness could be the same as what happened when he had hospital delirium early...

We did put up a tree this Christmas (58 years and counting), but it's still up. We didn't do any decorating other than the tree like we did for so many...

J.N.R Dutton We still haven't taken ours down. I frankly don't know when we will. Not in any hurry.

One of the best things I learned in school was how to make puff pastry.
Her name was Margaret the cooking teacher.
She also taught us sewing.
This was in St. Edmunds in Oxford, England.
Such happy days and useful things I am glad...

I won't make specific resolutions, but I know what my goals are and will work toward them. If I tell myself I will do certain things, I rarely do..so just keeping an idea of what I want to accomplish and taking small steps toward...

Hello everyone, how are you all doing? Hopefully well.
Hopefully you all had a nice Christmas too.
It was alright here, except for when my son threw a big fit over his toys not working right.
Anyways - what did I get for...

Whether English is your native language or not did you know that you might be speaking like Shakespeare? Many of you had to read Shakespeare in school and for you, like for me it probably seemed like Chinese or something. I was...

We visited my husband yesterday. He was sitting in his wheelchair when we got there. He said that his roommate is dangerous and he knows people. Most of the time while I was there, he sat with his head down. We hardly spoke to...

The photo has nothing to do with the post. It’s of two chocolate unicorns a friend gave me.
A couple have been charged in South Australia for pretending their son had cancer and receiving $60,000 through government and GoFundMe...

J.N.R Dutton Cases like this are terrible, it does make people less inclined to give, which is sad for those who actually are in need. Hopefully crowdfunding sites learn to do some kind of vetting to prevent stuff like this in the future.
As for the child, I do pity him...

I learned something new today, In the waters of Puget Sound, Washington a kind of weird fashion statement has returned after four decades. It involves Orcas black and white killer whales who balance dead salmon on their heads as...

I get a monthly shipment for cat litter from Chewy and they automatically charge it to my account. So then I got $15 worth of gift cards for Amazon and chose to get myself an electric skillet and dry cat food for the beasts. I had...

I know we've all seen and been affected by inflation for a good while now. Seems like everything at the grocery store is higher each week.
Every year for many years I've made sugared peanuts at Christmas. They're a good snack and...

This one isn't really that exciting. But since I haven't really been around and I used online earnings to pay for this, I figured I might as well add it to a win and this category.
We have wanted to watch several shows on...
