This is a photo of my dog Sophie. She was a lovable family member and friend for 15 years. She died a few months ago.
It helps to remember the good times and funny memories!
Sophie was mischievous as many dogs are. Curious too....

I've always believed that one is never too old to grow, change and learn.
I'll be 60 next month. I've always loved learning new information on all kinds of topics. I can be a silly goofball, but really, I am a deep thinker too....

I bowled on leagues for many years. I'm currently taking a break but plan to return to bowling soon! It's good exercise, fun socially, and personally satisfying to practice and improve my skills/scores.
A few years ago, I was...

I had never heard of this word until today. Have you?
The midterm elections happened yesterday, November 7th, here in the US. Politicians are often accused of talking all the way around a question or issue, without giving a...

I've always had a silly sense of humor. Being a 'senior' now, almost 60, hasn't changed that fact.
I enjoy goofy puns, cartoons, comedy, humorous memes, etc.
Everyone doesn't agree with the things I label as...

I heard the word bespoke on YouTube recently. I realized that I had no idea what it meant, although I'd heard it a few times.
To me, the word doesn't seem to fit its meaning. However, I do understand the connection to verbally...

I saw this funny cartoon on Facebook recently. I do have memories of riding in cars without seatbelts, which is actually no laughing matter! I remember my mom doing the arm protection thing too. I also did that with my kids if we...

Recently I started taking surveys to make a little extra income.
In the pre-qualifying info of several surveys, I was asked to describe my ideal vacation. It brought up fond memories of a trip I took with my family one summer...

Hi myLot friends.
Well, I've been inconsistent again in posting for Weird Word Wednesday, but here I go!
"Kerfuffle" is a funny-sounding word to me. It makes me think of a fancy dessert! But kerfuffle is not sweet or fun. It is...

My first grandson was born on September 7th! His name is Phoenix.
This adorable photo was taken when he was 10 days old. He's doing fine, as are his mom (my daughter) and the rest of the family.
Phoenix weighed 9 lbs at birth and...

I've been seeing a lot of news stories/videos online recently about the bison at Yellowstone National Park and elsewhere. Some tourists seem to think they can safely get near the majestic beasts, to take photos, pat them, etc. NOT...

The photo is me with my four granddaughters. It was taken a few months ago. The girls were 9, 5, 5 and 3 at the time. And no, I don't believe there is such a thing as "too many" of one gender in any family. Every person is a...

I'd heard "festoon" a long time ago, but I'd forgotten its meaning. I happened to see it again yesterday.
I doubt that it's a common word these days.
Festoon can be used as a noun or a verb. It's a word about decorating for a...

Well, even though I intended to resume my weekly "Weird Word Wednesday" posts, they have been in abeyance once again. The last one I shared was on March 30. I've allowed other things to take priority.
Abeyance is a noun, meaning a...

Pullulate is a new word to me. I chose it because it's Spring in the US now and many plants are blooming! Two synonyms for this word are budding and germinate.
Pullulate is not used in everyday conversation, with the exception of...

I saw the picture of the unfinished Autumn wreath on social media. It made me laugh! It reminds me of myself...except mine would say "I'm busy and I'm not crafty!"
I admire people who can create beautiful decor for their homes,...
