Where do you get your books? Do you prefer to get brand new books or browse the used book store? Do you use the library?
I love used book stores, it's cheaper than buying them new, and I can find rarer books that way too....

I recently got a used copy of "The Kite Runner". I've heard good things about it, and it was a best seller, but I don't know anyone personally who has read it. Have you read it? What did you think? I'm still finishing another book...

A few months ago my husband brought home a kitten. I've had cats before, and I'm used to them clawing on stuff but chewing is new to me. He chewed on a pair of my shoes, he loves chewing on cardboard, and recently chewed holes in...

We got a kitten from the pound about a month ago. He's around 7 months old, named Loki. He's been great, well behaved and really playful. I've been wondering what kind of cat food and litte everyone else is using.
I feed him...

Do you have both a cell phone and a home phone?
My parents still have both, but I've not had a home phone since I moved out. I just don't see a need for it, since I'm going to have a cell phone anyway, it doesn't seem worth it...

I recently read an article on the freakonomics blog on nytimes.com about why people lie. People lie all the time. Most of them are "white lies" or "social lies" that are used just to make relationships easier, but sometimes you...

A couple I recently met had an unusual dog. It's a greyhound/lab mix. At first glance I just thought it was a small lab, but then I noticed that he carried his ears back, and tail low like the greyhound, and has a more stream-line...

My husband and I have a roommate. He is one of my husband's friends, a really nice guy, and plans to keep living with us for the next year. He initially moved in because things weren't working out with the girlfriend he was living...

So, I realize that may be kind of gross, but it's been a concern of mine lately. When I first started using tampons I always wrapped them in toilet paper and put them in the trash can. But one of my friends found out and thought...

I'm in a weird situation, so my husband and I have to live apart for a while. It isn't any sort of break up, it's just we need to be in different places to do what we need to do in our lives right now. I'm finishing my last...

I watched Across the Universe last weekend, and it was amazing. Definitely the best musical I've seen. Some scenes were heartbreakingly sad and others were incredibly happy. My favorite scene was when Max starts singing "Hey...

My husband, did a nice thing and picked up clothes around the house and ran a load of laundry. Unfortunately he also machine washed and dried one of my bras. Now one of the cups is lumpy and looks bad under form-fitting tops....

I've been critiquing a lot of photography lately so I thought I would post a few of my own for critique.
This is a head shot I took for a theater student applying for a role in a local play. I used a Nikon D70s with a 18-35mm...

Ever since big stores have added the I.D. check notice to certain scanned items I've been annoyed at some of the normal items that have set it off. It is a great tool for making sure kids can't buy cigarettes, alcohol, and R...

I recently had my yearly visit to the gyno, and was thinking about the type of gyno I prefer. I've always gone to women, so when they asked if I preferred a male or female doctor I said female. Unfortunatly, her rank and name was...
