There is form of mixed farming in bengal. in between the rice fields, the potato fields there are the turai or ridgegourd or jhinge plantations. By this type of farming or crop exercise the soils dont loose the fertility.

Mocha is the byproduct of a banana tree. There are covers. Inside the covers the vegetable looks like match sticks. My mother severes them and then cooks them. Coconut and grams are added in the dish. It is eaten with rice.
